Since retiring from geology a few years ago, dad has taken up stone sculpture to relinquish thirst for rocks. It's been an amazing process watching dad, who until recently showed no creative urges become quite a commited sculpture. He collects the rock from sights he knows around Victoria. His sculptures are truly lovely forms and shapes sometimes, sea creatures and vegetables. I'll post some more soon. He brushes off any of my encouragement to show his work, so the family home has become, the Iain McHaffie musuem. Post apocalyptic geoligists will have a field day when they discover our house after the next molten lava shower. a la 'A Day In Pompei' a la 'A Day In Parkdale'!
