saw this painting Sonja, by Christian Schad today at the Neue National Gallery Berlin, an amazing collection on show Modern Times- 1900-1945.
I listened to the headphones on this one and Sonja was a secretary in Berlin, that's about all I can remember, and she's finished her pack of camels that were the new trendy fags of the time and she's polished off her bottle of wine, and stares straight through the viewer, with dark rings around her eyes. The painting went well with the swingin' 20's music they had on the headphones.
